Two members of The SeaKing Group are to carry out a sponsored walk in aid of the Royal British Legion.

Dave Gillam and Gary Pink are to undertake the ‘Western Trek 2021’ between the 19th and the 23rd of May next year to help raise funds for The Royal British Legion.

The trek takes place over 3 days; with a total of 50 miles being covered.  It is carried out in the battle-sites and memorials of World War One, around Passchendaele and the Somme, before finishing at the iconic Menin Gate in Ypres.

Gary; a forces veteran of 22 years says, ‘this charity is close to my heart – there are a lot of comrades in the forces community that have fallen on hard times and are living rough on the streets. There are also large numbers struggling with mental health issues. The RBL is a great cause that helps those in need out.  I know that times are difficult, but if you can help this worthy cause out then it would be great.’
