Plumbers Ball 2023

The Plumbers Ball 2023Exciting news! We’ve just finalised our event brochure artwork for the upcoming Plumbers’ Ball, the 109th Annual Banquet, hosted at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool. Who else is joining in the celebration?

SeaKing has a proud tradition of attending the event yearly; 2023 is no exception. We’re honoured to support the Marine Guild, a registered charity committed to assisting individuals within the marine and marine-related professions in the Liverpool and Manchester regions.

Since its founding in the 1890s, the guild has been raising funds to provide financial assistance to those facing serious illness or financial hardship and offering grants to support young people embarking on their maritime training journey. We love to contribute to a meaningful cause and look forward to connecting with fellow industry connections next week!

“Heat” or “Eat” is a real choice for so many families this winter. Christmas is something they simply can’t afford.

Mission Christmas is here to help Santa reach children living in poverty. Gift drop-off points and online gift donations are now closed, but your help is still needed – donate cash online and we’ll buy a gift on your behalf.

We guarantee your support will mean that a child who’s at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas Day will have something to open.

Robbie Coltrane, OBE, 1950-2022

robbie coltrane obe seaking groupIt’s with great sadness that we hear the news of Robbie Coltrane, OBE, passing away.

We have had the pleasure of spending time with Robbie in connection to his work and commitment as patron of TS Queen Mary.

Sending our deepest sympathies and wishes to his family at this sad time.

‘Robbie was unstinting in his passion, enthusiasm and support for TS Queen Mary, a ship he often referred to as being his “beautiful baby.’

‘He loved casting his eye over the new plans and schematics for TS Queen Mary (he was an excellent engineer!), and he took real pleasure in sitting on her boat deck and imagining her getting ready to cast off.’ Iain Sim, Chairman, TS Queen Mary
